Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child, was born to the family of South London. Her mother is English while her father is Nigerian. Her family was raised in a council estate south of London. When she was fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. She pursued acting studies in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She performed in various stages during her high school days, including the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. In the years since, she's appeared as a guest on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut came from the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After this success, Madekwe played Elisha on The BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as for six seasons Trexx and Flipside. In 2008, the actress was offered Bambi who was the leading character in ITV2's comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. Performance credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes at The CW, and was then cancelled. In February of 2011 she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons, the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe was set to depart the series following her appearance on the premiere episode from the 3rd season. Madekwe starred as Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe married her long-time love, Iddo. They have worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl, and he is also a part of the cast in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into an extended family. She was born to Patty and Roy Leggat. The four brothers she had were also in the family and included twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley grew in arenas or baseball parks because her brothers, who were all athletic, played baseball, hockey, and basketball in winter and summer. Ashley did not have the ability to walk. She would dance. So when she was two and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley was enthralled by dance immediately after that. After graduating from High School, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in ballet, tap, jazz pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical and hip hop. Ashley was awarded the best soloist at each of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
